Key dates, events, assessment schedules, and important notices for the second term of the 2025–2026 academic year.

1. Welcome to Term 2

Welcome back to Dreamers Academy for Term 2! We hope all our families had a restful Christmas holiday. Term 2 is a busy and exciting term — it includes our Cultural Arts Week, inter-school competitions, and important assessment milestones for students preparing for external examinations.

Please read this guide carefully and note all key dates in your calendar. As always, our admin team is available to answer any questions.

4. Assessment & Reporting

Pearson Edexcel Checkpoint (Years 6 & 9)

Students in Years 6 and 9 will sit Pearson Edexcel Checkpoint assessments during Term 2. Preparation materials will be distributed by subject teachers in January.

IGCSE Mock Examinations (Year 11)

Year 11 students will sit full mock IGCSE examinations during the Term 2 examination period. Results will be used to guide revision priorities for the final examinations in Term 3.

Term 2 reports will be issued on the last day of term (3 April 2026). Reports will be available via the Student Records portal and in print from the school office.

5. External Examination Registrations

Parents of students in Years 10–12 should note the following external examination registration deadlines for the 2025–2026 academic year:

Action Required — Examination Fees

External examination fees must be paid to the school bursar by the registration deadline. Failure to pay by the deadline may result in your child being unable to sit the examination. Please contact the bursar's office if you have any concerns.

6. Homework & Revision — Term 2

Term 2 is a critical period for academic progress. We encourage all families to support their children with a consistent homework and revision routine at home. Key tips:

Set a dedicated, quiet study space at home free from distractions.
Encourage your child to use their student planner to track assignments and deadlines.
For Years 10–12, revision should begin in earnest from the start of Term 2 — do not wait until Term 3.
Contact your child's form tutor if you have concerns about workload or academic progress.

7. Communication & Reminders

School newsletters are sent every Friday via email. Please ensure your contact details are up to date with the school office.
Absence reporting: Call or email the school office by 7:30 am on any day your child is absent.
Cultural Arts Week (30 Jan – 6 Feb): Students are encouraged to bring in items representing their cultural heritage for the exhibition. More details will be shared in the January newsletter.
Inter-School Sports Day (13 Feb): Students participating in sports events will receive a separate information letter. All spectating parents are welcome.

Parent–Teacher Meetings — 20 March 2026

Appointment booking opens on 2 March 2026 via the school office or online booking link. Slots are 15 minutes each and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

8. Term 2 Fees Reminder

Term 2 school fees are due by Friday, 16 January 2026. Please ensure payment is made on time to avoid any disruption to your child's participation in school activities. Contact the bursar's office in confidence if you require a payment arrangement.
