Leadership with Purpose
The Governing Board of Dreamers Academy-GH is a group of committed professionals who volunteer their time, expertise, and passion to oversee the school's strategic direction and ensure accountability to our pupils, parents, and community.
Our governors bring diverse backgrounds — spanning education, law, finance, community development, and healthcare — united by a shared belief that every child can learn and deserves an exceptional start in life.

Setting the school's long-term vision, values, and objectives in partnership with the Principal.
Accountability
Holding the school leadership to account for the educational performance of pupils and staff.
Financial Oversight
Ensuring the school's finances are managed responsibly and resources are used effectively.
Safeguarding
Championing the welfare and safety of every pupil and member of staff at all times.
Policy Governance
Approving and reviewing key school policies to maintain compliance and best practice.
Community Engagement
Representing the interests of parents, the wider community, and stakeholders in all decisions.

Dr. Abena Mensah
LeadershipChair of Governors
Dr. Mensah brings over 25 years of experience in educational leadership and policy across West Africa. She chairs the board with a focus on academic excellence and inclusive education.
Mr. Kwame Asante
LeadershipVice Chair
A chartered accountant with extensive experience in school finance and governance, Mr. Asante oversees the Finance & Resources Committee and ensures fiscal responsibility.
Mrs. Ama Boateng
ParentParent Governor
Elected by the parent community, Mrs. Boateng ensures the voice of families is heard at every board meeting. She is a passionate advocate for parental engagement.
Mr. Kofi Darko
CommunityCommunity Governor
A local business leader and community development specialist, Mr. Darko champions partnerships between the school and the broader Accra community.
Dr. Efua Owusu
WelfareGovernor — Safeguarding Lead
A paediatrician and child welfare advocate, Dr. Owusu leads the board's safeguarding responsibilities and ensures the school's policies protect every child.
Mrs. Adwoa Frimpong
AcademicGovernor — Curriculum
A former headteacher with deep expertise in curriculum design and Pearson Edexcel qualifications, Mrs. Frimpong chairs the Curriculum & Standards Committee.
Mr. Yaw Adjei
LegalGovernor — Legal Adviser
A practising solicitor specialising in education law, Mr. Adjei advises the board on compliance, employment matters, and governance best practice.
Ms. Akosua Nkrumah
StaffStaff Governor
Elected by the teaching staff, Ms. Nkrumah brings the perspective of classroom practitioners to board discussions, ensuring decisions reflect the realities of daily school life.
Board Committees
The Governing Board operates through three standing committees, each responsible for a key area of school governance.
Finance & Resources Committee
Oversees the school budget, financial planning, premises, and resource allocation. Meets termly and reports to the full board.

Curriculum & Standards Committee
Monitors pupil achievement, reviews curriculum delivery, and evaluates the impact of teaching and learning strategies.
Chair: Mrs. Adwoa Frimpong
Safeguarding & Welfare Committee
Ensures robust safeguarding policies, reviews welfare concerns, and champions the mental health and wellbeing of all pupils and staff.
Chair: Dr. Efua Owusu
Board Meetings
The full Governing Board meets at least once per term. Committee meetings are held as required throughout the academic year. Minutes of meetings are available to parents and stakeholders upon request.
